HOUSTON INSIDE-OUT LACROSSE RULES
All rules of the outdoor game NCAA/THSLL will be enforced with the exception of some modifications in order to be sanctioned by U.S. Lacrosse.
The facility will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
No ball throwing is allowed while inside the facility unless it is on the playing field.
Teams must be at their respective benches 5 minutes to game time with required equipment. (Helmets will be worn in the bench areas at all times) Players arriving late will not be admitted to their bench area once the game has started, the official will determine when players may enter. (Face off, penalty etc...). A minimum of one (1) goalie and four (4) fielders are required to start the game otherwise will have to forfeit the game. The game will still be played although reflect as a loss for the team failing to meet player or time requirements.
NO BOARDING AT ANY TIME. (Body checking against the boards). Intentional boarding will result in expulsion from the game. Non intentional contact will be accessed a penalty as deemed appropriate by the official.
Fighting will be an automatic expulsion from the game as well as a suspension from the next scheduled game.
Games will consist of Two 22 Minute “running clock” periods, with a 5 minute break between periods.
All penalties will be accessed a 2 minute time.
Players may be “on the fly” as it is running time.
A face-off will be conducted at the start of the game and to start the second period. At any time the ball leaves the playing area, the ball will be awarded to the opposing team at the point the ball exited the playing area if possession was determined at the time the ball exited. If possession could not be determined a face off will take place.
Once a shot is taken, the goalie will clear the ball to begin play. When a goal is scored, the ball will be removed by the goalie and put into play immediately by that goalie. (No stalling by goalie to put the ball in play)
All rules are subject to change by the league administrators, coaches or facility management.
If an official fails to show for a scheduled game, it will be agreed upon by both teams who will officiate, coach, parent etc...
Final Rosters will not be amended for any reason. Armband must be worn in order to play. NO EXCEPTIONS
